El pasado 29 de abril, el Colegio celebró el Día del Idioma con una serie de actividades emocionantes y educativas que destacaron la importancia de los idiomas en la formación académica y personal de los estudiantes.

La jornada comenzó con una emotiva izada de bandera, en la que se rindió homenaje a los estudiantes que se destacaron en el primer trimestre en las áreas de español e inglés. Los estudiantes reconocidos recibieron aplausos y felicitaciones de sus compañeros y profesores.

Posteriormente, los estudiantes se dividieron en estaciones de inglés y español, donde participaron en actividades lúdicas y educativas que les permitieron desarrollar sus habilidades lingüísticas de manera divertida. Las estaciones estuvieron diseñadas para fomentar el uso práctico de los idiomas y promover la interacción entre los estudiantes.

Durante las estaciones, los estudiantes pudieron participar en juegos, concursos y talleres que les permitieron mejorar su comprensión lectora, vocabulario y habilidades comunicativas en ambos idiomas. La actividad fue un éxito rotundo, y los estudiantes se mostraron entusiasmados y motivados para seguir aprendiendo y mejorando sus habilidades lingüísticas.

La celebración del Día del Idioma fue un evento destacado en el calendario académico del colegio, y demostró el compromiso de la institución con la formación integral de los estudiantes. Los profesores y organizadores del evento destacaron la importancia de promover el uso y el aprendizaje de los idiomas en un mundo cada vez más globalizado.

On April 29th, our school joyfully celebrated *Language Day* — a special event dedicated to promoting language learning through engaging, meaningful, and interactive activities for all students, from preschool to eleventh grade.

The day began with a formal opening ceremony, awards for outstanding students, and artistic performances that delighted the audience. Highlights included a poem, a lively dance, a bilingual presentation titled "A Journey Through Colombia in Two Languages," and a fun and entertaining version of "Betty la Fea" .

After the break, students rotated through six themed stations designed to experience language in different and exciting ways:

 *Museum of Countries and Authors: This station showcased cultural and literary highlights from both English- and Spanish-speaking countries.

*Character Creation: Students crafted unique characters out of modeling clay and described them in English.

* English Karaoke: A space to sing, enjoy, and practice oral expression with confidence.

*Role Play "At the Restaurant":* Students acted out real-life dialogues in a restaurant setting using common English phrases.

* Interactive Games: Vocabulary, memory, and thinking games that made language learning dynamic and fun.

* Storytelling Corner: A magical space for listening to and reading stories in English, encouraging listening skills and a love for literature.

Each station was guided by teachers and designed to actively engage students in a playful and creative way. The atmosphere throughout the day was one of enthusiasm, participation, and curiosity.

Language Day 2025 was not just a celebration of language, but a demonstration of our school's commitment to experiential and meaningful learning. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the teachers, students, and families who helped make this wonderful day possible.
