The elm is a sacred tree that symbolizes victory and achievement of new goals.
The house system is a traditional feature of schools in the English-speaking world, particularly in England. The school is divided into subunits called 'houses' and each student is allocated to one house at the moment of enrollment. Houses may compete with one another at sports and maybe in other ways, thus providing a focus for group loyalty.
El sistema de la casa es una característica tradicional de las escuelas en el mundo de habla inglesa, en particular en Inglaterra. La escuela está dividida en subunidades llamado "casa" y cada estudiante es asignado a una casa en el momento de la inscripción. Casas pueden competir el uno con el otro en deportes y quizás de otras maneras, proporcionando así un foco para el grupo la lealtad.
The elm is a sacred tree that symbolizes victory and achievement of new goals. Through history it was been associated with death and the idea of rebirth. The Greeks believed that the first grove was born on the return of Orpheus from hell. It was the tree of Hermes, which was consecrated to Saturn. In Northern Europe, it was the tree of the elves that guarded the burial mounds.
