The elm is a sacred tree that symbolizes victory and achievement of new goals.

The Greeks believed that the first grove was born on the return of Orpheus from hell. It was the tree of Hermes, which was consecrated to Saturn. In Northern Europe, it was the tree of the elves that guarded the burial mounds.
